Overview

Jaslok Hospital was established by the late Dr Shantilal Jamnadas Mehta, an Indian surgeon, institution builder and medical academic in 1970.
It is one of the oldest tertiary care and multi-specialty hospitals in the country.
The number of consultants has increased from the initial 50 to around 265 with 140 fully trained resident doctors. Hospital has a college of nursing, providing B. Sc. Nursing degree with annual admission of 25 students.
Well-developed specialties and services available at Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre are Department of Anaesthesiology, Imaging & Interventional Radiology department with Conventional Radiology, CT Scan, MRI section, Mammography. Department of Radiation Oncology, with Latest Pet-Scan, modern Cardio Vascular & Thoracic Surgery, Advanced Dental surgery, Dermatology, E.N.T. Department Fully equipped I.C.U, PICU & NICU. Nephrology, Neuro Science Division including Neurology EMG with Evoke.
It is the first Hospital in South Asia to perform MR guided ultrasound surgeries of Liver, Brain, Kidney, Thyroid, Epilepsy, Prostate, Pancreas and MRgFUS for the treatment of Uterine Fibroids.
The hospital is ranked 2 in Mumbai and the West Zone and Rank 6 in India in the recent health survey on Top Specialty Hospitals in India by Times.
It has been felicitated by Times Health Excellence for Excellence in Services in Multi-specialty Hospital.

The hospital houses 364 beds and 75 ICU beds.
First hospital in India to equip with a triple head gamma camera, first solid state dedicated cardiac camera in Asia and a 5 ring 16 slice PET-CT scanner.
